Mohammad Ashraful, once the biggest superstar of cricket in the country, finally got the team. Fortune Barisal has included him in the players’ draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Barisal took Ashraful in the players’ draft held on Thursday (November 12).
In the draft, Ashraful was in ‘D’ grade worth Tk 4 lakh. Despite being in the lowest grade, Ashraful got the team at the beginning of the draft. The former national team captain will play for the Barisal region in the five-team short format tournament.
Five cricketers got a place in the ‘A’ category for the draft, worth Rs 15 lakh. Also ‘B; There are cricketers worth Rs 10 lakh in grade, Rs 6 lakh in ‘C’ grade and Rs 4 lakh in ‘D’ grade. Along with stars like Mohammad Ashraful and Shahriar Nafees, the Under-19 World Cup winning cricketers are in ‘D’ grade. The Bangabandhu Cup will start in the fourth week of November and end in mid-December.
A total of 5 teams are taking part in the event. The teams are Fortune Barisal, Beximco Dhaka, Minister Group Rajshahi, Jamcon Khulna and Gazi Group Chittagong.
