Australia announces strong Test squad against India

Cricket Australia has announced the squad for the Test series against India starting next December. Will Pukowski and Cameron Green, two promising cricketers, have been named in the 17-member Test squad. Earlier, the Indian team reached Sydney last Thursday (November 12).

Australia have named two young cricketers in a four-Test series against India. The Aussie selectors included opener Pukowski, 22, and all-rounder Green, 21. The two young cricketers were knocking on the door of the national team after performing well in the Sheffield Shield in the domestic season. The selectors took them in consultation with coach Justin Langer.

However, off-form Joe Burns has been included in the squad along with David Warner. Mitchell Nasser is also with spinner Mitchell Swapson and pacer Sean Abbott. Aussie national selector Hans said it was great news for Australian cricket that many young cricketers were claiming entry into the team. Two of them, Cameron Green and Will Pukowski, have joined the team with their talents.

In Test cricket, Australia is led by Tim Payne. Australia will play second-ranked India under Virat Kohli. The four-Test series will begin on December 17 at the Adelaide Oval. This test will be pink. In other words, Kohli is going to play day-night test on foreign soil for the first time.
