Mashrafe bin Mortaza is not in the players’ draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup due to injury. However, if he recovers from the injury, any team can take him. Mashrafe will be the ‘open player’ in the new Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) tournament.
BCB chief selector Minhazul Abedin Nannu said in a video message on Wednesday, “Mashrafe has a hamstring injury. Hopefully he will be available from the first week of December. Then any team can take him if they want. Hopefully, he will return to the game very soon.
Mashrafe had planned to return to the field with Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Accordingly, he also started practicing in October. But got a hamstring injury while running.
Meanwhile, the players’ draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup will be held at a hotel in the capital on Thursday. There are a total of 158 cricketers in four categories.
