All-rounder Shoaib Malik was an integral part of the Pakistan T20 squad. Malik was in the national team for Pakistan’s tour of England in August-September. Before that tour, he made an unbeaten fifty in his last innings against Bangladesh. He is also performing consistently in franchise based cricket.
That Shoaib Malik is now out of the team. He was left out of the squad for the series against Zimbabwe on Pakistani soil last month. Later, he was not given a place in the New Zealand tour team. The reason why he was dropped is unknown. Shoaib Malik is now busy playing in the Sri Lankan Premier League (LPL). From there he spoke in an interview about being dropped.
“Only the chief selector can say why I am not in the national team,” he said. I have no idea. I was not contacted on their behalf. But of course I don’t want to go negative, I want to be positive. ‘
